The UK artist Hush had an art exhibition opening at the 941 Geary gallery last saturday. 941 Geary, just a couple years ago, was Downtown Smog, where my girlfriend got her car smog certified.
Hush does paintings of geishas. Their clothing is a combination of graffiti and traditional kimono patterns. Quite beautiful.
Some of the work consisted of 12 foot tall wheatpastes.
Some were just a few inches tall. Well done, Hush.
