More from Hunter’s Point

P1020298                                  While photographing the copra crane, stumbled across an Open Studio event.

P1020312                    The artists here all work with metal, welding, bending, fabricating etc, except for one guy who worked with stone. No sissy painters, photographers, or handmade paper makers. The guy in the picture is Yong, he’s doing some interesting stuff with expanded steel.

P1020305P1020306P1020304   Excellent materials they use. There are studios available here- work only, $500-1000. The amazing part is that utilities are included- you know how much juice an arc welder uses?

P1020290P1020330P1020332                             Local graffiti. Nice to see a shout out to old Gandhi.
