Wheat Pastes, Stickers, Graffiti, and Another Urban Couch

Sometimes passing through the Tenderloin can be depressing. On this trip, I saw a woman ravaged by meth, then a couple devastated by heroin. Then I saw these big beautiful wheat pastes. These choice pieces have been seen around the Mission and Tenderloin for a while. These two are on the front of a dive bar (no offense) called the Gangway. Then, next door at The Shooting Gallery, one can buy framed versions! The artist is Jesse Hazelip.                                         Lots of these birds around lately.                                        Chimpus maximus.                                          Pobresito con patina.Amid the junkies and cranksters, this goofball can really cheer you up.Another installment in our Urban Couch series. Check back soon for more!
