Sunday Streets, March 2011

Sunday was the first Sunday Streets of the year. A large part of the Embarcadero was closed to cars. It threatened to rain but never did, which lead to not many people showing up.

I think this is Paul, AKA Fossil Fool. He rides a tall bike that blasts music.

Paul is a serious bicycle advocate. You can read about cargo bikes, bike-powered blenders, and other bike-powered earth-friendly stuff at rockthebike.com.

This young lady is often seen at Sunday Streets. Kind of hard to see in this photo, but her bike is equipped with a device that makes a trail of bubbles wherever she goes.

This guy is doing a stunt. I believe it’s called ‘Ghost Riding the Whip’. Hope he has good health insurance.

This pooch walked quite a ways, and got tired out. A splendid time was had by all.
