Sunday Streets in the Mission District, Again

Sunday Streets will be held in the Mission on the first sunday of every month from May to August. From the webpage:

“Sunday Streets creates miles of car-free roads for people to get out and get active in diverse SF neighborhoods.”

Kids of all ages participated, on all forms of conveyance.

The Bubble Lady can be seen at every one of these events, I think. I also saw the Vintage Schwinn Posse. But I didn’t see other regulars like DJ Deep, the Rock the Bike folks, the Trikke clique, or the tall bike people. Maybe they showed up later, or maybe the novelty has worn off for them. Or maybe they had to work.

Many types of entrepeneurs took advantage of the increase in foot traffic. As the Great Helmsman said, let a thousand flowers bloom.

This ol’ dog just likes to sleep in the sun.
