Eventually, the buildings of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard will be bulldozed, put in a truck, and taken to a dump far away. When the artist’s studios were open, I snuck around a little and photographed the decay and debris.
Above is a former piano. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. It has shuffled off this mortal coil, joined the choir invisible etc.
Years ago, Naval personnel lunched on these tables. They ate and laughed and told each other about their weekends.
