Random sighting on the way to Chinatown. Scooter of a Giants fan. Commerce don’t stop. It’s kind of the whole point. Some people are quite comfortable being photographed.

Last sunday some streets were blocked off in Chinatown so people could walk, bike, roller skate  etc. It wasn’t great for bicyclists- too crowded. Not the sprawling pageant of the Mission. But Chinatown is always flavorful. For a lot of folks, it was just another workday. Ping-pong tables were set up and spirited games ensued.

Big, high-tech catamarans were racing on the bay this weekend. Their sails are more like carbon-fiber wings, lots of computers onboard. We joined a lot of other spectators on the piers of Fort Mason.
